ARTIST'S STATEMENT

I paint what I experience, what moves me, and what I feel compelled to express. I have never been interested in pleasing everyone or following artistic trends. For me, honesty is essential. Art must come from within.

I believe in the discipline of daily work. Drawing, observing, reading, and spending time in the studio are fundamental to my practice. Sometimes the smallest detail can spark an idea: a passing shadow, an unexpected shape, or a fleeting expression. Learning to truly see is as important as learning to paint.

My inspiration comes from many places: the Old Masters, contemporary art, literature, comics, cinema, and above all, music. Jazz is particularly close to me. Its freedom and improvisation encourage intuition and spontaneity in my work.

I value the possibilities of the digital world, but I also believe in maintaining a certain distance from its constant distractions. Finding one's own artistic voice requires independence and concentration.

Painting remains at the heart of my practice, but my curiosity has also led me towards installations, where objects, images, and space allow me to explore ideas that cannot always be contained within a canvas.

And perhaps most importantly, there is love. Love, in all its forms, remains one of the strongest forces behind my work.
